I promised myself that I would get my second book published by the end of 2014. But the frost is already on the pumpkins and it is the first of October! And there is still work left to be done! The manuscript of my new book is finished and I have proof read it once. I gave a copy of the manuscript to some friends of mine at our church as they seemed to be interested in my work and the story that that I have been working on over the past five years. I will be interested to learn what they have to say about my thoughts and what errors that they have found in my English. In the meantime, I will be rereading the manuscript for the second time, filling in some of the remaining blank spaces.
I am extending an invitation to my readers to be a contributor to Finger Lakes Living 360. I know that many of my Facebook friends – Tina, Susan, Dan, Barbara, Shelly, Mary, and Sharon either live or have visited the Finger Lakes this summer and I know that a fresh set of “eyeballs” on Finger Lakes Living would be refreshing for all of my readers and it would give me some additional time to get moving on publishing my new book. We all see things differently as we have different interests and come from different backgrounds. Certainly Tina could talk about all of the wineries that she and Dan just visited a few weeks ago. And I am sure that Mary St. George has a couple of homes for sale in the Finger Lakes that she would be willing to share with my readers. Just send your writing to jbupp@fll360.com and attach any pictures that you want to share.
Jeanette and I just returned from visiting my daughter and her family in Gastonia, NC. We had a great visit and we were able to see my grandchildren in action as they played soccer and watched my son-in-law as he helped with the coaching. It was a wonderful way to spend a weekend under the Carolina sun. On our way back we stopped at Susan’s home in southern Pennsylvania. It was a good trip but it is also good to be back in the Finger Lakes.
