It’s a chilly 22 degrees in Canandaigua with several inches of snow on the ground and more predicted in the Finger Lakes over the next few days. But there’s no need to get stressed out as this year’s Wilhelmus Champagne Celebration is all set for December 10, 11, and 12 at the Wilhelmus Estate Winery (click here). No need to stay indoors and watch TV when you can do a little partying with neighbors and friends. And this year’s event looks like it’s going to be a good one: Champagne tasting with seafood crème and crackers, dark chocolate Chambourcin fondue with fruit, and best of all, some holiday fun!
Here’s a picture of one of Karen’s wine samplers. It is nifty way to buy a bottle of wine with a couple of glasses and some chocolates already to party when you get home. Wine tasting can lead you in the right direction, but it has been my experience that the only way to get to know which wine you really like is to buy a bottle and enjoy it at home. You can do a little wine tasting at the Wilhelmus Champagne Event, and if you make a purchase, Karen will include Wilhelmus’s 2010 Ornament for your Christmas tree.
