A beautiful autumn day in the Finger Lakes must not be wasted; especially if it is one those rare autumn days when Mother Nature puts on one of her best shows of the fall season!
Bully Hill winery is one of the many Finger Lakes wineries which are located near the little village of Hammondsport, NY. The flowers at the winery were still blooming and we took advantage of the summer like temperatures to have our lunch outside.
It’s hard to describe the rush when one combines spectacular colors, good food, a bottle of Finger Lakes wine, and the company of good friends all together at one time! It can only happen at this time of the year in the Finger Lakes, and then only on rare occasions do all of the beautiful colors, bright sunshine, and warm temperatures combine to fill one’s senses to the to overflowing!
The view from the outdoor dining area and parking lot is breath taking. Looking over the vineyards to the valley below lay the clear blue waters of Keuka Lake, and beyond that the multicolored hills and fields on the other side. It was a day that we shall not soon forget!
