Spring Comes to the Finger Lakes Wineries

Wilhelmus Estate Winery

One of the nicest spring treats that the Finger Lakes has to offer this time of the year is to take a Finger Lakes vacation and tour some of our Finger Lakes wineries. Not only can you sample great wines, but you can enjoy all of the beautiful green foliage that is returning to the Finger Lakes region. Canandaigua’s local winery, the Wilhelmus Estate Winery (click here) is all set for the spring wine tasting season. Winery Dog Duke and his owners Baud and Karen Kuenen have returned from their trip to South Carolina and are ready to sample some of Boud’s fine wines.

Baud has been working hard in the vineyard at the Wilhelmus Estate Winery. The vines have all been pruned and tied to the wire trellis. As you can see from the photo, this year’s new growth is well underway. The electric fence stands guard to prevent the deer from nibbling at the new growth.

Come visit Karen, Baud, and Winery Dog Duke. Summer hours are now in effect: Tues. – Sat. 10 am to 6 pm.; Sunday 12 – 6 pm. Winery Dog Duke’s happy that he’s back home and on the job once again for his sixteenth year. He’ll be happy to see you!
