Our two weeks of vacation in Florida have come to an end and now we have returned to our home in the Finger Lakes. Canandaigua Lake glistened in the warm spring afternoon sun. People were out for a walk just enjoying the lake and the sun.
The runoff from recent spring rains has filled the lake and the water is running swiftly in the outlet near City Pier. On the City Pier, the young people were hanging out on the Pier and the ducks were happily swimming in the cold lake water.
The willow trees along the lake and some of the plantings along the lake are beginning to show an interest in growing leaves once more. It’s nice to see how the “other half” live, but it’s even nicer to be home in the Finger Lakes!
